Job Responsibilities

Leads spend analytics for purchasing commodities for the buyers college-wide for strategic teams and cost reduction plans

Serves as lead data analyst for SMS team and all sub-departments within SMS in regards to technical processes and IT module testing for SMS in Ellucian/Banner/Sciquest

Leads contract analytics for college-wide departmental contracting and collaborates with budget unit leaders to determine what is expiring and what RFP teams are needed

Leads Data Warehouse analytics within Ellucian for SMS monthly KPI metrics, monthly dashboard reporting, AQIP, and strategic planning documentation and measurable

Serves as lead technical point of contact during year-end close out processing and fiscal year-end reporting as needed

Participates in annual banner/ellucian/sciquest testing during upgrades

Provides on-demand reporting for the Foundation, Human Resources, Finance, and other departments as needed

Assists other areas within the department during peak times as needed

Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications


Bachelor’s Degree in Business or a related field and a minimum of four years of demonstrated purchasing supply chain experience

Demonstrated experience making sound decisions that affect a work unit or team

Demonstrated experience in a role requiring diverse problem solving methods in a variety of situations


Possess working knowledge of Supply Chain Management concepts, practices and procedures with the ability to use in varied situations as it pertains to the departmental focus

Ability to effectively complete work assignments independently

Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with demonstrated attention to detail

Ability to be creative and exercise initiative

Possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to adjust to changing priorities and respond appropriately to deadlines

Demonstrated intermediate project management skills

Ability to promote collaboration, teamwork, and involve all stakeholders in decision-making processes

Intermediate-level proficiency with Banner (or equivalent)

Intermediate-level proficiency with Microsoft: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Basic-level proficiency with Microsoft Access

Ability to confidentially and discreetly handle subject matters requiring privacy and sensitivity

Ability to collaborate, persuade, gain cooperation and acceptance of ideas on significant projects

Ability to collaborate, negotiate and resolve conflicts on major projects

Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key contacts to enhance work flow and quality

Work Schedule

Standard College hours of operation, Monday through Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm
