Description of Duties:
This position designs, implements, and assesses strategy for graduate student leadership development programs. The incumbent participates in an academic advising rotation designed to meet the needs of a diverse population of undergraduate and graduate students in maximizing educational goals.
Additional Description of Duties: Develop a strategy for engaging student groups towards the following:
- organizational accountability
- global understanding and integration projects
- community/cohort development
- community outreach efforts
- academic support endeavors
- faculty/student relationship building
- student/alumni interactions
- virtual community development
Advise an elected graduate student government organization and serve as a resource to multiple affiliated graduate student groups and faculty advisers. Advising responsibilities include, but are not limited to, supporting the annual student government cycle (elections, training, goal setting, budgeting, event planning, event attendance, risk management, and transition) and managing day to day interactions with student leaders.
Provide structured academic advising dedicated to advancing the personal, academic, and professional learning goals of students while encouraging a sense personal agency and self-authorship in decision-making.
Support the development and ongoing assessment of a set of co-curricular programs focused on student engagement programs.
Support development and ongoing assessment of a high quality academic advising programs for delivering the faculty approved academic curriculum.
Support the development and ongoing assessment of a set of co-curricular programs focused on specific academic support programs.
Support the development and ongoing assessment of a set of co-curricular programs focused on global integration programs.
Master's degree in College Student Development & Counseling, College Student Personnel or Higher Education Administration plus 5+ years of related experience including a minimum of 1+ years prior supervisory, project, or program management experience. Must possess strong interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills with the ability to articulate complex matters, and has supervisory, program, and/or project management skills.
License(s) Required for the Position: Must hold and maintain a valid unrestricted driver's license.
