Detailed Job Description

Under the direction of the Facilities Management Staff the Night Mechanic performs repairs in the areas such as electrical, carpentry, HVAC, plumbing, and locksmithing. The Night Mechanic will also respond to emergency situations and will take respective measures to prevent loss or damages to Bentley property.

The Work Schedule for this position is as follows:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday – 4PM to 12:30 AM.
Saturday and Sunday – 10AM to 6:30 PM.
Overtime may be required and/or offered during special events and programs.

Minimum Qualifications (Education and Experience Requirements)

Requires work experience in area in which the incumbent is licensed, plus additional work experience in at least two of the Trades areas in which the incumbent is unlicensed.

Air Conditioning/Refrigeration, Plumbing, or electrical license required.

Must be physically able to perform the essential duties of the position as set forth in this
Position Description Document.

Ability to use electrical tools and equipment.

Must be able to read, write and interpret documents in the English language, e.g. safety rules, material safety data sheets (MSDS), operating repair, installation and procedure instruction manuals.

Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with co-workers and supervisors.

Must be available for emergency call-in situations.

Use of motor vehicle required for transportation of tools and equipment for job related duties.

Must hold and maintain a valid, unrestricted United States driver’s license, with an insurable driving history as determined by Bentley’s insurance carrier. May be required to drive a Bentley issued vehicle.

Properly uses and cares for Bentley tools, radios and equipment.
