Position: Clinical Assistant Professor of Positive Behavior Support (Non-Tenure Track)

The Alabama Positive Behavior Support Office at The University of Alabama is committed to serving the state of Alabama in school-wide Positive Behavior Supports (PBS) and is seeking a nine month academic year, non-tenure earning Clinical Assistant Professor of Positive Behavior Support. The position will provide leadership within the Alabama Positive Behavior Support Office and will coordinate implementation and evaluation activities across the State of Alabama. The position will also provide direct services in the form of professional development and teacher coaching. This position will be renewed annually at the discretion of the University. Circumstances affecting continued employment include, but are not limited to, work performance, fund availability, and educational priorities.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in special education or related field
- Experience working with school teams in the implementation of complete continuum of positive behavior supports

Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Mentoring, managing & assessing personnel
- State-level Program development
- Data assessment
- Collaboration with state and national educational experts
- Performance reporting
- Development of training materials
- Computer and web-based materials development
- Understanding and application of research-based projects
- Presentation at state, national and international events
- SW-PBS at tiers 1, 2, and 3
- Development of proposals for research-based projects
- Securing grant funding
