Head Coach (Strength and Conditioning): Southern Illinois University Carbondale is an NCAA Division I member of the Missouri Valley Conference.
Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include the design, implementation and supervision of strength and conditioning programs for all 18 varsity sports, including proper instruction in the Olympic lifts, nutrition, and injury prevention. Direct responsibility for the sports of Football, Men's and Women's Basketball. Supervise strength and conditioning staff to maximize strength and conditioning coverage for all sports. Maintain a safe and orderly facility conducive to the workouts of all student-athletes. Modify workouts and implement rehabilitative exercises for injured student-athletes as prescribed by the Assistant AD for Sports Medicine. Perform or coordinate all administrative aspects related to the strength and conditioning program.
Requirements: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred. Must be certified and maintain current certification through a nationally accredited strength and conditioning certification program. (e.g., CSCS or SCCC certification). Must have at least 4 academic years full or part-time work experience in an NCAA strength and conditioning program working with male and female student-athletes in a variety of sports. USAW Club or Sport Performance coach certification preferred.

Appointment: This position is a 12-month, full-time appointment. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
