The Department of Political Science and the Thomas W. Smith Institute for Political Economy at Miami University is searching for a Postdoctoral Fellow or Research Associate in American Political Economy.  The position will begin in the 2016-2017 academic year.


This position will provide advising and assistance to the Thomas W. Smith Institute and the Miami University Janus Forum; teach one course per term, including (1) an introductory or more advanced course on American political economy and political-economic thought, or on a topic related to the enduring legacy of the Framers of the American constitution, and (2) a course related to the research expertise of the candidate.  Duration of appointment is negotiable, 9 to 12 months.

Minimum Qualifications

For appointment as Postdoctoral Fellow:  Ph.D. in political science, economics, or related field, earned December 2014 through July 2016.

For appointment as Research Associate:  Ph.D. expected no later than August 2017.
