Detailed Job Description

The Licensing Associate in the Office for Technology Transfer will assist in the management of all aspects of the University's intellectual property.

Additional Department Summary:

Duties include managing the invention disclosure process from initial disclosure to the generation of triage reports, determination of potential licensees for protected technologies, generation of marketing materials, and maintenance of web presence to include but not limited to website, social media and content marketing. The Licensing Associate must maintain currency of knowledge with respect to state-of-the-art technology, and patent law, and technology transfer as well as be able to work collegially with faculty, staff, and students in making technology assessments and alternatives requiring the exercise of judgment. This position will work closely with the Director of the Office for Technology Transfer in invention-stimulating efforts in faculty, staff and student disclosures, training and education.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in the physical or life sciences, engineering, business, technology management, or law and some work experience in physical or life sciences, engineering, business, technology management, or law in either a University and/or industrial setting which required strong team and collegial working relationships.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

Valid U.S. Driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable motor vehicle report as determined by the insurance carrier.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred experience in marketing technologies, website development and maintenance, and social media. 60 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 50918.40 Midpoint - $ 73839.96
