Detailed Job Description

Bring your expertise and passion for teaching to Anne Arundel Community College.

With learning as its central mission, Anne Arundel Community College has responded to the needs of a diverse community for the past 50 years by offering high quality, affordable, and accessible learning opportunities.

The college's Student Success 2020 commitment, inspired by the goals set forth by President Obama in the American Graduation Initiative, promotes a college-wide call to action to help more of its students be more successful in reaching their educational goals including doubling the number of degrees, certificates and workforce credentials earned by AACC students by the year 2020. In September 2011, AACC was announced as the lead partner of a 10-college consortium that received a $19.7 million Department of Labor grant to provide training for high-demand jobs in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields. During the summer of 2012, the college opened the Center for Cyber and Professional Training in Hanover and reopened its recently renovated and expanded Andrew G. Truxal Library with a focus on learning and success. Additionally, AACC was named a Great College to Work For by the Chronicle of Higher Education for the past three years.

Established in 1961 in Arnold, Maryland with easy access to Baltimore and Washington, D.C., AACC is an award winning, fully-accredited, public two-year institution that offers national and regional studies that can lead to a degree or certificate, to industry credential, to transfer to a four-year institution, or to career enhancement, personal enrichment, and lifelong learning.
