Position: Assistant Professor (Human Nutrition)
Effective Date: August 16, 2016
Qualifications: Earned doctorate in human nutrition or related field required. If all requirements for the Ph.D. have not been completed by August 15, 2016, a one-year term appointment at the rank of Instructor, at a lower salary, will be offered. Record of scholarly activity and collaboration with related disciplines required. Applicants with the R.D. credential and a background in sports nutrition, community nutrition, clinical nutrition, wellness, or public health are preferred. Applicants should possess the potential for excellence in teaching.
Salary: Salary is competitive and commensurate with professional experience.
Appointment: Nine month continuing, tenure track. This position is contingent on available funding.
Responsibilities: The successful candidate will teach courses at undergraduate and graduate levels. S/he will also be expected to develop a funded research program and interface with existing commodity-based research and education programs. Additional responsibilities include: advising and mentoring undergraduate and graduate students; serving on graduate student, departmental, and/or college committees; and performing community outreach activities.
