Job Responsibilities


Oversees didactic and clinical instructional processes including student evaluations and schedules

Oversees and manages the organization, administration, periodic review, planning, development and general effectiveness of the Human Services program

Provides leadership in maintaining accreditation standards

Counsels and advises students

Supervises and assess the performance of part-time faculty, instructional and support staff

Prepares course schedules and makes instructional assignments

Coordinates development of curriculum and revisions

Participates in department, college and professional activities/events

Markets program and recruits students

Prepares and administers budget

Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications



Master’s Degree in Social Work

Must be a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW)

Minimum of three years of demonstrated Human Services experience working with clients

Demonstrated experience supervising, planning, assigning, scheduling and ensuring the quality of the work of others

Demonstrated experience forecasting, planning, maintaining, preparing and monitoring a business area’s budget

Demonstrated experience effectively making decisions that have major implications on the management and operations within a department

Demonstrated experience in a role requiring diverse problem solving methods in a variety of situations


Ability to effectively complete work assignments independently

Possess comprehensive knowledge of Human Services theories, concepts and practices with the ability to use in complex, difficult and/or unprecedented situations as it pertains to the departmental focus

Possess knowledge of education methods and administration as well as current accreditation and certification procedures

Demonstrated intermediate project management skills

Intermediate-level proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Ability to confidentially and discreetly handle subject matters requiring privacy and sensitivity

Ability to collaborate, persuade and gain cooperation and acceptance of ideas on significant projects

Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key contacts to enhance work flow and quality

Possess strong organizational and time-management skills

Possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

Work accurately with great attention to detail

Ability to prioritize/handle multiple tasks and work with deadlines in a dynamic environment

Sensitivity to appropriately respond to the needs of a diverse population
