Under the direction of the Dean of Health Sciences, the Online Course Developer will organize the online course into modules that include introductions, content, formative activities, and summative assessments.

Graduate degree in nursing with certification as an advanced nurse practitioner (FNP preferred) required
Doctoral degree preferred
3-5 years of professional and/or research experience in the content area required
Prior experience developing or teaching distance courses in higher education preferred
Required to pass online certification course offered at the College or other demonstration of required skills through testing
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to explain content-specific concepts to non-experts
Knowledge of learning management systems
Write learning objectives that support course and program outcomes and generate rubrics to assess student mastery.
Find and generate high quality content, such as video lectures, presentation files, multimedia, web resources, journal articles, etc.
Craft a student-centered course experience that provides ample opportunity for student-student and student-faculty interactions.
Upload content into the learning management system.
Implement templates and standards as provided by the College.
Conduct a review of the developed course for quality assurance.
Demonstrate ability to collaborate with a team while meeting project deadlines.
