Qualifications: This position requires a minimum of a master's degree in social work, clinical psychology, or counselor education program from an accredited program. Current licensure at the level of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or as a licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Illinois is required. Experience in a variety of mental health related facilities, as well as administrative, supervisory, and crisis service is preferred.

Duties: The Counseling Specialist is responsible for the evaluation of graduate student clinicians and coordination with academic departments on the training requirements of those students. This position provides onsite face-to-face supervision and coordinates intake services and training. In this regard, this position has some responsibility for administrative and professional functioning of the Clinical Center. This position supports students in training, by providing immediate intervention and assistance, as clinical emergencies arise. This position trains students on professionalism and ethical clinical practice.
Appointment: .5 FTE (halftime) term, Administrative/Professional appointment. This position is contingent on available funding.
