Qualifications: The department of Zoology is seeking an experienced freshwater ecologist to assist with a variety of stream and wetland projects that focus on ecosystem processes and functions. Applicants must have a completed BS degree in zoology, biology, or a related field and experience with sampling invertebrates, benthic organic matter, and seston in streams and wetlands. Applicants must also have experience with laboratory processing of stream and wetland samples for nutrients and isotopes and freshwater invertebrate identification.
Responsibilities: Assist with all aspects of ongoing investigations of freshwater ecosystem ecology including sampling of organic matter and invertebrates; laboratory processing of organic matter samples and invertebrates, including identification and nutrient and isotope analyses; and data entry.
