Informs students, advisors, faculty, and staff of university policies and procedures relating to all graduation requirements. Responsible for the final approval of all degrees that are granted. Awards degrees, reviews enrollment applications and creates and issues all diplomas. Plays a substantial role in the Commencement Activities each year.
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor’s degree or any combination of post high school education and experience totaling four years.
Knowledge of content and curriculum.
Knowledge of graduation requirements.
Knowledge of student advisement methods and techniques.
Skills in word processing, spreadsheets and database software Microsoft Office Suite and Banner preferred.
Skills in filing and records management.
Skills in training and supervision.
Skills in conflict resolution.
Ability to work independently on a multi-task level.
Ability to prioritize and follow-through to completion.
Ability to deal with diverse personalities as well as management personnel.
Ability to solve problems creatively.
Ability to anticipate departmental and student needs.
Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing to a diverse group or individual.
