Job Responsibilities


•Cultivates relationships with employers and community partners to facilitate Tri-C co-op/intern placement opportunities for current students, and employment opportunities for recent graduates, veterans, alumni, and community members

•Proactively builds relationships with small, mid-size and large employers and emerging growth industries

•Creates and manages designated targeted employment outreach plan as directed

•Proactively identifies, generates, and manages qualified co-op/internship leads in various academic programs via outbound calls and in-person meetings

•Responsible for identifying and attending community and employer outreach events; represents the function and markets Tri-C’s strong educational and career support system for students

•Drives the use of the Career Center’s online job posting network as a recruiting resource for employers

•Responsible for proactively and positively maintaining all associated client relationships

•Collaborates with faculty and other essential staff administrators in building book of business, generating experiential learning leads and recruiting events

•Promotes the College’s established top talent pipelines to employers in emerging growth industries

•Conducts employer satisfaction surveys and recommends program upgrades and enhancements based on employer feedback

•Facilitates on-campus recruitment programs, placement initiatives, college-wide job fairs and specific academic programs geared towards experiential learning

•Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

•Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of three years of demonstrated experience in a staffing and career placement experience in a goal-driven, professional and dynamic environment

•Demonstrated experience making sound decisions that affect a work unit or team

•Demonstrated experience in a role requiring diverse problem solving methods in a variety of situations


•Possess working knowledge of client management concepts, practices and procedures with the ability to use in varied situations as it pertains to the departmental focus

•Excellent customer service skills and proven ability to develop and sustain productive client relationships

•Knowledge of the region’s growth industries, employers, job market, and employment resources

•Ability to proficiently use a variety of internet tools and social networking sites as an employment sourcing tool

•Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and fast pace work environment requiring flexibility and a sense of urgency

•Demonstrated unwavering commitment to teamwork, diversity and inclusion

•Ability to effectively complete work assignments independently

•Ability to deliver high performance outcomes while balancing the demands of multiple work streams

Preferred Qualifications


•Minimum 3 years of experience developing a foundation of sustained client relationships for a service provider

•Demonstrated Co-op Program and Internship Services experience in private sector


•Familiarity with career fields of interest to business, information technology, engineering, advanced manufacturing, and media arts, l arts students preferred

Work Schedule

Standard college hours 8:30 -5:00 Hours may vary on business units needs
