The Transition and Retention Specialist is primarily responsible for working with non-traditional college students to transition them into the variety of programming offered in Continuing Education and Workforce Development (CEWD) including GED, English as a Second Language, and career-focused training. In addition, the Transition and Retention Specialist will conduct orientations and provide instruction in topics such as student success, interviewing skills, resume writing, and/or adult basic skills topics.
