Responsible for teaching, service, and related activities in assigned setting. Teaches non-credit courses pertaining to a wide variety of education curriculum and university programs. May represent the university, college/school, or department/unit or university committees. Please Note: Examples listed are not an all inclusive list of duties and tasks.
High school diploma or equivalent plus any special certifications and/or training required in field of specialty.
Five years experience. Masters Degree preferred.
Background in behavioral science, social work, psychology or related field preferred.
Knowledge of subject matter and content of classes taught, to include Successful Life Management (Personal Development and Career Development), Anger Management, Parenting, Marriage Enrichment and/or Marriage Preparation.
Knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques.
Knowledge of value/belief systems, resiliencies, distorted thought patterns, informational interviewing, resume building and interview skills.
Skills in presenting material to adult learners in creative and engaging manner.
Skills in curriculum development.
Skills in interpersonal communication, problem solving and decision-making.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
