The Applied Health Science Department at Wheaton College (IL) invites applications for a tenure-track assistant professor position in epidemiology beginning July 1, 2013. A Ph.D. is required in epidemiology, exercise science, health, nutrition, or a medically related area. Preference will be given to the candidates who will teach a biomechanics course and are committed to excellence in teaching and have track records of an active research program. Applicants must be committed to excellence in both teaching and scholarship in the liberal arts environment.
The Applied Health Science Department at Wheaton College is one of the fastest growing departments in the science division. The department is housed in a new science facility with new instruments that include a waters HPLC, a BIO-RAD Real Time PCR CFX Connect, Cell Biosciences FluorChemQ Image Analyzer for Western blot analysis, gait (motion) analysis instruments and software, and access to other research-related instruments.
