The College of Professional Studies and Applied Sciences at Miami University’s Hamilton campus seeks candidates for a Visiting Assistant Professor position in Communication to begin August 2016. The full-time, nine-month appointment runs from August to May.
The full-time position is teaching focused, and the successful candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of communication courses at the undergraduate level, potentially including introductory and advanced interpersonal communication, intercultural, conflict management, and organizational, and possibly also courses in the newly developed online BS in health communication. Possibility of teaching at our Middletown campus and Voice of America Learning Center.
A Ph.D. in communication or closely related field is required, ABD candidates will be considered but must have degree in hand by start of appointment. Successful candidate should demonstrate a strong background in teaching undergraduate students.
Experience teaching online or hybrid formats, experience or interest in health communication and willingness to teach in integrative studies.
