Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Director, Career Prep and K12 Relations. This position develops external and internal relationships for the College and coordinates its Career Prep program. The position reports to the Vice President, Continuing Education, and is responsible for understanding the operating environment that exists in Wisconsin K12 education and for the coordination of collaborative programming arrangements with more than 45 school districts. The position can be based out of the WITC New Richmond Campus or the WITC Administrative Office in Shell Lake.

Minimum Qualifications: 1. Master’s degree in education or a related field. 2. Five years of combined administrative and teaching experience, including two years of experience in a job function related to Career and Technical Education. 3. Recent experience in the development of articulation or contractual agreements between secondary and post-secondary educational institutions. 4. Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to be insured at acceptable levels to conduct essential required driving for position and be able to travel extensively throughout the district.
Preferred Qualifications: 1. Sales or other relationship development experience. 2. Two years of experience outside of education. 3. Two years of supervisory experience. 4. Current teaching or administrative licensure through the Department of Public Instruction.
1. Maintain working knowledge of current legislative, administrative, and academic issues in Wisconsin K12 education and serve as liaison between WITC and its regional K12 education partners. 2. Expand and develop collaborative relationships with leaders in more than 45 school districts and CESAs, including the identification of key opportunities to advance Career and Technical Education throughout Northwest Wisconsin. In this capacity the position will be the primary contact for K12 administrators. 3. Coordinate and expand the development of transcripted credit and advanced standing agreements with K12 partners with an emphasis on generating post-secondary pathways for secondary students. 4. Coordinate scheduling details and provide oversight for seamless development of all contracts and agreements related to academy-based services. These services result in post-secondary or industry-recognized credentials for secondary students. 5. Coordinate staff development and certification programming for K12 educators in an effort to advance Career and Technical Education throughout Northwest Wisconsin. 6. Collaborate with Divisional Deans, Continuing Education staff, Career Specialists, Marketing Director and other appropriate staff to ensure programming and recruitment efforts are aligned. 7. Provide leadership for the Career Prep Consortium and maintain compliance with Career Prep requirements. 8. Supervise staff as assigned.
