Position will report to the Director of Human Resources and will perform day-to-day Human Resources Information System functions including: upgrades, patches, testing, reporting, administration, program development, communication, compliance programs and other technical projects as assigned. The Analyst designs, develops and maintains reports of critical employee and business information that support all HR functional areas. Will routinely interface with the Office of Technology staff, Institutional Research staff, vendors, HR team, executive leadership, faculty and staff of the College. Responsibilities include conducting HR reporting, designing custom reports using Colleague Query Builder to meet department/institutional needs, maintaining accuracy and integrity of information being entered in Systems and other HR Information Systems including Colleague, Onbase, PeopleAdmin, TrakStar, and Blackboard Analytics. Conducting analytical comparisons related to leave, overseeing leave function, problem solving issues including troubleshooting and resolving workflow, responding to requests for data access that requires HR approval, conducting batch updates, and recommending policy changes related to leave and to HR Director. May assist with completing compensation surveys. Develops and maintains HR trainings and standard procedures related to technology and new processes. Will serve as project lead on the implementation of all new HR software and HR Information Systems. Serves as Help desk point of contact, and a member of the Colleague Core Committee. Duties also include communicating and presenting information to all levels of the organization and completing special projects for the Human Resources Director as assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required with two (2) years minimum experience working with any major database management system. This position requires a strong sense of and desire to work as a member of a team. Must demonstrate proficientcy in Windows and Microsoft Office tool including Outlook, Excel, Access, Word, Visio, and PowerPoint. Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills; and experience with developing and delivering training programs. Must have excellent customer service skills and an ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and diplomacy. A general background in HR practices is preferred. Successful candidate must have word processing skills, ten-key, query building, data input and management. Strong understanding of database design, structure, functions and processes and experience with database tools; including SQL reporting tools. Strong attention to detail, organizational, analytical and problem solving skills. The successful candidate will possess the ability to work independently, maintain effective and professional working relationships with co-workers, college employees at all levels, the public and students. Starting Salary: $35,000-$40,000
