Under general direction, serves as liaison between SLUCare Physician Group and software system vendors (Epic and GE); assists with development of system requirements and training needs; provides first level support ensuring issues are correctly identified; coordinates resolutions to issues.
Knowledge of management information systems, data structures, and application software
Knowledge of billing software applications
Strong interpersonal/human relations skills
Ability to perform work that is technically oriented
Ability to analyze and resolve software application problems and recommend improvements
Ability to exert high level of visual effort
Strong documentation skills
Bachelor’s degree supplemented with two (2) years of related work experience. Ability to achieve EPICCare Ambulatory certification and other EPIC certifications within first 6 months of employment required. Coding experience preferred.
Participates in planning, selection, and installation of process changes and clinical applications system design and set up for both Electronic Health Records (EHR) and Practice Manangement Operations (PMO) billing system.
Provides advance end-user support; responds to software application issues; reviews issue logs to identify software application patterns; tracks performance of vendor in resolving issues within target dates; plans and implements installation, upgrades, and development projects.
Recommends improvements to system software; serves as liaison between departments, reimbursement analysts, and software vendor for specific applications.
Maintains industry standards and controls for related systems; follows University change management process requiring documented and approved changes.
Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
