(Multiple positions) Primary responsibilities in advising and new student recruitment.
Provides individual academic advising and assists in academic planning and decision making; makes referrals to appropriate resources and offices; initiates outreach programs for “at-risk” students; explores new advising and communication initiatives; represents School to prospective students and families; assists with open houses and other recruitment initiatives; supports students seeking admission to business program and orientation programs for freshmen, transfer, and new international students; teaches First Year Experience (FYE) course. Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Dean and Director of Advising.
Master’s degree in related field; one or more years of advising experience (including experience gained during an educational program) in a university or college setting in academic, career, study abroad and/or related areas; excellent written and oral communication (including public speaking), organizational, technological, and collaborative skills.
The Master’s degree in counseling or college student personnel; experience in working with international students (advising, programming, or with immigration status); personal experience of having worked or studied abroad; proficiency in a non-English language.
