The Department of Spanish at Bates College invites applications for a two-year visiting position in Latin American literature and culture (open specialty) beginning in August 2016. The teaching load will be a combination of language, literature and culture courses, and will be 5 in the first year of the contract, and 4 in the second. Ph.D. is preferred, but ABD candidates will also be considered. Experience teaching Spanish language at all levels is essential. Native or near-native proficiency in Spanish and English is required.
