Distributes inbound and outbound mail. This includes sorting and delivery of incoming mail, and sorting, sealing, and metering outgoing mail.
Graduation with a High School Diploma or GED and any combination of education and/or experience related to the summary of duties totaling two years.
Graduation from an accredited institution or technical school with an associate’s degree and one year of experience related to the summary of duties or any combination of education and experiences totaling three years.
Knowledge of mail methodology.
Knowledge of United States Post Office regulations.
Skills in computer application,including word,Excel and integrated database systems.
Ability to operate a range of motor transport vehicles to transport mail.
Ability to accurately sort and process all appropriate classes of mail.
Ability to operate and maintain electronic metering equipment.
Ability to follow schedules and meet deadlines.
Ability to work independently on a multi-task level and prioritize and follow projects through to completion.
Ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. safely.
