Saint Louis University, a Catholic, Jesuit institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service is seeking applicants for a post doctoral fellowship position in the Department of Pharmacological and Physiological Sciences.
This position seeks a post-doctoral candidate to work in a laboratory exploring pathways involved in the development and maintenance of several chronic pain states. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in pharmacology, physiology, neuroscience or a related field and postdoctoral experience optional. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who has the versatility to work independently across rodent models of pain, rodent behavior, biochemical analyses and in vitro studies; accordingly, experience in these areas is recommended. The ideal candidate should display a conceptual knowledge of the pain field, an ability to efficiently communicate with others, a high degree of organizational and project management skills, and the ability to contribute to instruction and research development within the lab. Candidates must display competency in computer programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and GraphPad Prism. This position will be funded by a grant from the National Institutes of Health.
