Quinnipiac University invites applications for the position of Anesthesiologist Assistant Program: Full-time Faculty.
Serve as the primary course instructor for at least one or two didactic courses each semester. Utilize appropriate assessment methodologies to assess student progress.
Submit to the Educational Program Coordinator course syllabus, final grades, roll pages, and copy of all assessments.
Distribute a copy of the syllabus to each student.
Assist with the admissions process that includes the recruitment, application, screening, and selection of applicants for admission to the program.
Work with students in the mock operating rooms and anesthesia learning laboratory.
Assisting with the review, planning, and implementation of assessment methodologies to evaluate student performance.
Assisting with the organization, planning, and implementation of methodologies for remedial instruction.
Assist with the continuing review, implementation, coordination and evaluation of the curriculum.
Assist with the ongoing evaluation, development and administration of the program.
Assist with development and revision of program policy.
Assist with coordinating and facilitating small group activities and assessment.
Serving on or directing various committees as assigned.
Maintaining the highest moral and ethical standards as an educator, as a medical professional, and as a responsible member of the community.
Representing the department at university and other organizational academic and social functions.
Attending meetings of professional organizations and societies as directed.
Participate in the activities of state, regional, and national organizations concerned with the profession in order to promote a positive image of the University.
Assist with program self-evaluation to include policy, curriculum review and accreditation.
Assist with review and revision of academic policies and procedures as needed or directed.
Counsel students as necessary.
Be available to students for questions and assistance.
Attend all faculty meetings, in-service training sessions and graduation ceremonies.
Performing other duties as assigned by Program director and Medical Director.
Must be a graduate of an accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant Program.
Possess a minimum of a Masters degree and at least two years of clinic experience or health-related teaching and/or administrative experience.
Demonstrate good leadership and motivational skills and the ability to work effectively with faculty, students and staff.
Exhibit strong commitment to the mission and goals of Quinnipiac University and the AA Program.
