The Department of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering is seeking a qualified candidate for the rank of Clinical Faculty to start fall 2016.
Duties include: teaching undergraduate courses; enhancing curriculum; advising students; supervising capstone projects and independent studies; supporting outreach efforts and collaborative projects with industry partners; assisting the department chair with administrative duties; and participating in departmental, college, university and professional service activities.
Required: Minimum of master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, at least one year of teaching experience and curriculum development in engineering, post master's degree; at least fifteen years of industry experience in product design, development and manufacturing; demonstrated expertise and experience in the usage and application of additive manufacturing for product design, development and prototyping; demonstrated expertise and experience in applying statistical quality control, six-sigma, lean manufacturing, lean product development techniques, project and product management, and engineering economics to product development and production; demonstrated expertise and experience in usage and application of CAD/CAM/CAE in product development, optimization and cycle reduction.
Stronger candidates will have a PhD in Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
