Job Description:

  • Reporting to the Director of Web Communications, support various functions within the Web Communications department.
  • Maintain and update the existing main website and micro-sites as requested using TerminalFour Sitemanager CMS.
  • Keep certain areas of the website up to do date, including the sitemap, directory, and various content.
  • Key lead in managing the content management system including website, servers, databases, inventory, taxonomy and design templates.
  • Participate in peer quality review to ensure accuracy, web standards, and accessibility.
  • Provide website related support to Content Stakeholders and student interns.
  • Use Google Analytics and other tools to monitor and summarize website activity.
  • Develop, test and implement web-based solutions for TerminalFour CMS and other various systems.
  • Manage SiteImprove web governance tool
  • Assist with maintaining the BHCC Portal content updates and providing HTML, CSS and JavaScript support.
  • Troubleshoot various problems with college systems.


  • Bachlors degree required, in Web Development or computer-related field or degree with equivalency with related web experience.
  • Proven prior experience in a professional web environment working with a content management system and content approval workflow.
  • Proficient in HTML,  XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, MySQL, Photoshop, Dreamweaver.
  • Proficient in web best practices including responsive design and accessibility
  • Excellent knowledge of various web platforms, applications and technologies.
  • Working knowledge of an Enterprise Content Management system. Terminal Four is a plus.
  • Understanding of the web publishing process, use of images and video, search optimization, and an eye for effective web layout and design.
  • Experience working with clients, assessing needs and providing solutions.       
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in any situation is a must.
  • Strong organization skills, ability to multitask on various deadlines and prioritize.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff and student population.

Salary Range: $65,000.00-$70,000.00
