Job Description:

Reporting to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), the Director of Administrative Systems is responsible for the ongoing coordination and operation of the Ellucian Colleague Student and Financial Information System, including all technical aspects related to set-up, modification and maintenance of all user profiles and security on the system, along with the supporting operating system, backup/disaster recovery, application patching, software licensing and hardware upkeep requirements. The Director will supervise departmental staff and provide recommendations for maintaining and improving support for the administrative systems and will work closely with other groups within Information Services and with other College departments.


  • Supervise Administrative Systems team that support the college administrative system
  • Delegate tasks and lead IT project teams and committees. Collaborate with users and vendors to meet goals.
  • Manage the integration of other administrative applications that support business operations (i.e., the Portal, Accuplacer, 25 Live Scheduler, ImageNow, WebAdvisor, CROA and/or other new software applications) and manage upgrades, patches and system changes.
  • Work closely with Network Operations and other team members to recommend, design and deliver the best solutions for the College with a focus on reliability and scalability in a 24x365 environment.
  • Support Business Process Redesign-automation of manual processes in functional offices to support business operations
  • Manage security and access to the administrative applications and integrated products.
  • Coordinate training activities for IT staff to support the modules of Colleague and other integrated applications and broader college audience
  • Consistently monitor and report on systems status, problem resolutions, department budgets, and tasks associated with the IT Master Plan.


  • Bachelor's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  •  5 years of  experience supporting administrative systems in an academic environment
  • Proven ability to facilitate, collaborate, communicate and maintain high-quality service levels for all stakeholders.
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Proven ability to work effectively with a diverse student, faculty and staff populations

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL and/or unidata
  • Experience with Ellucian Colleague, Webadvisor and integrated applications
  • Experience with programming languages such as Envision and report generators such as informer and/or Business Objects.

Salary Range: $85,000.00-$95,000.00
