Saint Louis University, a Catholic Jesuit Institution dedicated to student learning, research, health care, and service is seeking applicants for a full-time tenure-track position in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level.

We are seeking an outstanding individual with doctoral degree in Biological Sciences or related fields and strong post-doctoral research experience to establish a vigorous extramurally-funded research program. In addition, the position requires commitment to resident education and teaching at the Medical School level. Successful candidates are expected to complement the existing strengths of the Department which include biochemistry and physiology of the retina diseases, and mechanisms of ocular inflammation, but other research directions that focus on the biology of the eye or pathogenesis of ocular diseases will be considered. Laboratory space and startup funds will be provided.
