Works under the direction of the Coordinator of the Public Safety Institute, Law Enforcement Advanced Training to plan, coordinate and direct the maintenance activities of the Motorcycle Program.
QUALIFICATIONS – To perform this job successfully, an individual must have satisfully completed the Intrcutor Preparatory Training and be certified by the Ohio Department of Public Safety Motorcycle Ohio Program. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma or general education diploma (GED) is required: an Associate degree is preferred. Five years of relevant work experience in motorcycle mechanics is required.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively to customers and employees of the organization.
Must be able to exercise good judgment and discretion in the performance of regular work.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
A valid Ohio Drivers License with motorcycle endorsement is required and approval from the State of Ohio Motorcycle Program.
