The Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS), Student Health Services (SHS) at SIU Carbondale is seeking applications for two psychologist positions. CAPS maintains an APA accredited pre-doctoral internship and provides comprehensive mental health services to diverse students of a large state university. Staff provides individual, group, couples, and crisis counseling; community intervention and social justice activities; and supervises practicum students and interns. This is a 12-month, full-time appointment. Compensation includes a comprehensive benefits package, professional liability coverage, and salary commensurate with experience.
Required Qualifications: Earned doctorate by start date of employment in Counseling or Clinical Psychology from APA or CPA accredited program. Successful completion of APA or CPA accredited pre-doctoral internship in professional psychology. Eligibility for registration as licensed psychologist in State of Illinois within 12 months of start date of employment.
Preferred Qualifications: Licensed as a psychologist in State of Illinois or licensed psychologist in another state and is eligible to become licensed in Illinois within six months of employment. University or community health experience.
