This position involves responsibility to advise and provide program support to prospective and current students in conjunction with the rest of the team in the College of Arts and Sciences Advising Center (CASAC). This position focuses on advising undergraduate students within the College of Arts & Sciences.
Responsibilities include student recruitment, analyzing student applications, course transfer evaluations and transcripts, assessing academic level of students, responding to academic inquiries, developing individual academic plans.
This position will also provide proactive outreach and service to currently enrolled students to ensure retention goals are met and exceeded. This also involves coordinating with WSU advisors in other colleges and participation in ROAR, transfer student orientations and other university-related recruitment events.

Positions require a Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of academic advising experience or related education/experience. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis.
Master’s degree preferred.
Experience working in higher education. Experience working with a diverse student population, including non-traditional, first generation college students and underrepresented student populations.
