The Application Systems Analyst/Developer position is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and trouble-shooting primarily web-based application systems for the Department of Administrative Services Information Systems (ASIS) and its departmental customers. These applications generally require database design and management, and often support electronic commerce functions. On support issues, the incumbent has freedom to act under general direction, using adaptive reasoning, programming knowledge and technical expertise at journey level or higher to accomplish broadly defined tasks and to meet system requirements.
Positions require a Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years professional experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Experience in design, development, implementation, and maintenance of e-commerce web-based applications.
Proficiency with Visual Studio, C#.NET and SQL.
Skill in HTML, CSS, XML, mobile responsive design and ASP.NET MVC.
Experience working with customers on the development, implementation and support of custom applications.
Experience with content management systems (CMS).
Experience with embedded hardware systems, particularly those that include Card dispensers and bill acceptors.
Experience in IIS server configuration and administration.
Experience in SQL database administration.
Experience with system development life cycle, project management principles, and version control practices in a team development.
