Position/Rank: Distance Education Compliance Coordinator, 12-month term appointment with reappointment contingent on job performance and available funding, in SIU Extended Campus at Southern Illinois University Carbondale.
Appointment Date: As soon as possible.
Qualifications/Requirements: Minimum: Bachelor degree and 2 years of experience working in higher education, one year experience with policy compliance, and Memorandum of Understanding coordination is required.
Preferred: Familiarity with state approval agency applications. Strong work ethic, character, and personal integrity, and ability to work with the utmost professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality. Excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal skills, and organizational abilities. Individual should have great attention to detail, be very organized, ability to follow-through on matters, ability to work without constant supervision, and be able to understand regulations, policies and procedures which may affect SIU Carbondale's operations in the various states. Should possess strong writing, analytical, evaluative, organizational skills and the ability to work well in a time-sensitive, dynamic office environment.

Responsibilities: The Distance Education Compliance Coordinator is responsible for oversight of Memorandums of Understanding/Agreements in addition to other vital duties which are crucial to SIU Carbondale's operations in the various states. Ensure that MOU's/Agreements are negotiated and signed prior to expiration. Responsible for coordinating commencement exercises for off campus sites. Knowledgeable of contents of military policies and procedures, State Approving Agency policies and procedures and VA policies and procedures; incumbent must have the ability to answer questions from the various external agencies or base personnel concerning these documents. May be required to travel to attend meetings as needed.
