The Assistant Director of UA Early College is responsible for coordinating and implementing a vibrant learning community through academic and student support programs and services for UA Early College students.

Additional Department Summary:

The UA Early College Assistant Director will have the primary responsibility for overseeing student achievement for UA Early College students and planning, implementing, and coordinating the UA Early College Summer On Campus Experience. The Assistant Director is responsible for assisting the director with administration, development, and delivery of academic college credit and non-credit services that extend the resources of The University of Alabama to qualified high school students. Typical workday is 9:15 AM to 6 PM.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Master's degree with a minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience; OR Ph. D. degree with a minimum of one (1) year of relevant work experience.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

Experience in K-12 education, higher or continuing education, or technology. Willing to lead/teach an introductory orientation online class and represent UA Early College, as needed, at public events. Willing to work some nights and some weekends and travel occasionally to recruitment events. Valid U.S. driver's license. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable motor vehicle report as determined by the insurance carrier.

Skills and Knowledge:

Requires excellent communications skills, ability to plan, develop, and administer academic programs, excellent interpersonal skills, and demonstrated ability to work with diverse groups for successful program/project development.

Preferred Qualifications:

A minimum of a master's degree in education, instructional technology, communications, or related field. 59 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 43887.96 Midpoint - $ 63648.00
