Under the direction of the Director and Associate Director of Financial Aid and Scholarships, provides expert knowledge and assistance with Banner forms, reporting, automation, processes, and system usage to Financial Aid and Scholarships; supports end-users on technical and functional issues; acts as a liaison between functional and technical user organizations on campus in a way that fosters communication and project success; works independently and applies a high degree of ingenuity in solving data-related issues that will impact faculty, staff, student, and other campus departments; develops and prepares ongoing, periodic, automatic, and adhoc reports, queries, statistics, and summaries; and, balances multiple requests for service from multiple areas (management, operations, work study, aviation, athletics, finance, institutional research, information technology, etc.) which are frequently subject to conflicting and pressing deadlines.
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor’s degree in a related field and a minimum of one year of directly related experience or any combination of education and experience related to the Summary of Duties totaling five years.
Knowledge of Financial Aid systems, Banner Financial Aid preferred.
Knowledge and experience with programming languages, SCT web tailor, and SCT work flow.
Knowledge of writing queries to provide accurate reports.
Skills in using Crystal Reports, Job Submission, Business Objects Server, and other report development and delivery tools.
Skills in problem solving, technical trouble shooting, decision making, prioritization, and organization.
Ability to use SQL and PL/SQL effectively within an Oracle environment.
Ability to effectively advise and train administration, faculty staff, and students.
Ability to research technical issues independently, learn quickly, and pay close attention to detail.
