Job Responsibilities

• Supports the Dean in developing strategic direction and focus for the major functions within the IT Center of Excellence division
• Conducts research and assists with special projects
• Provides data analysis as needed for optimal divisional function
• Provides oversight and strategic direction to the various services and initiatives that promote student success and smooth transition though IT Workforce and Academic Offerings
• Supports development and implementation of college-wide IT initiatives, including recruitment events and activities, corporate outreach, community outreach, marketing efforts, and scheduling
• Assists the Dean in determining staffing needs; researches, designs and implements best practice models for forecasting, predictive analysis for student success, and revenue generation
• Develops and implements budgets within the division
• May assist with new construction, renovation projects, or facility related matters (i.e. audit space, classroom updates, lab updates)
• Builds and strengthens partnerships with internal and external partners to improve and integrate services for students through the attendance of both College and Community events as needed
• Serves as a member of campus and college leadership teams
• Supervises associated staff, providing direction and feedback necessary to achieve results including scheduling, student recruitment, logistics coordination, retention, completion and transfer
• Serves as site coordinator for student conduct, complaints, and judicial process
• Provides a full spectrum of Adjunct Faculty support to the Dean and associated Faculty, as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a related field and a minimum of five years of demonstrated higher education administration experience
• Minimum of five years of demonstrated recent applicable experience in a professional information technology position
• Demonstrated experience in leadership, strategic planning, program development, staffing, budget management, evaluation, and systematic decision-making
• Demonstrated project management experience, multi-tasking experience, and ability to work effectively in a high pressure environment with significant timeline pressures

• Possess comprehensive knowledge of IT industry theories, concepts and practices with the ability to apply to complex, difficult and/or unprecedented situations as it pertains to the departmental focus
• Ability to effectively complete work assignments independently

• Ability to be creative and exercise initiative
• Possess excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Possess strong organizational and time-management skills

• Demonstrated intermediate Project Management skills
• Demonstrated Intermediate-level proficiency with Microsoft: Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Ability to confidentially and discreetly handle subject matters requiring privacy and sensitivity
• Ability to develop and maintain relationships with key contacts to enhance work flow and quality
• Sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of a diverse population

Work Schedule

Standard college hours 8:30 – 5:00. Hours may vary depending on business units needs
