Director of Graduate Recruiting and Admissions
The Director of Graduate Recruiting and Admissions is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive marketing, recruiting, and conversion plan for graduate and veterans’ students. The director is also responsible for implementing and monitoring the admissions assessment plan.
The director will effectively manage and develop community, corporate, educational and government contacts for partnership. The director collaborates with the academic deans and marketing staff to implement marketing and recruitment initiatives in support of graduate admissions.
Specific duties include:
Develop graduate admission and recruitment strategies, based on market information, customer response, and department feedback.
Schedule, organize and manage events at companies and organizations, career fairs and military bases to increase awareness and generate leads.
Outreach through implementing a strategic plan and relationship management, aimed at meeting established goals.
Develop and implement graduate student conversion process including outreach to inquiries, applicants, and admitted candidates via web, telephone, mail, e-mail and in person.
Develop and implement communications plan for key influences.
Responsible for developing and implementing virtual open houses and other admissions events targeted toward graduate students and veterans.
Serve as college point of contact for SOC and other military and veterans groups.
Responsible for Graduate Admissions and Recruiting budget and monitoring source results and cost effectiveness.
Assist the Vice President for Planning and Assessment in reviewing, revising and monitoring the college enrollment management and assessment plan.
Supervise and train staff and maintain comprehensive policies and procedures manuals.
Represent Capitol College in outreach initiatives, including: individual meetings, presentations, group meetings, telemarketing, online outreach, correspondence and communication with prospective students, and potential corporate, government and education partners.
Thorough knowledge of business, and higher education marketing and industry relationships.
Proven ability to manage and train admissions staff.
Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive relationships within the corporate and governmental community which result in enrollment development of graduate and certificate students.
Demonstrated ability to professionally and effectively deliver presentations to small and large groups.
Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
Master’s degree in relevant discipline.
Minimum of five years experience in admissions or recruiting.
Some evening and travel required.
