Detailed Job Description

The Program Coordinator is responsible for the overall daily administration of one or more programs. Serves as a liaison between program and other departments or community.

Additional Department Summary:

The coordinator will oversee all projects and courses related to the Black Belt and serves as the liaison between the communities and the university. Develops partnerships on campus, oversees projects, and explores new funding opportunities such as grants and other funding sources, as well as exploring possibilities for expansion of community development opportunities to include a chosen city in Cuba as it relates to the Black Belt.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and at least two (2) years of experience in a related area.

Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:

Experience working in higher education and in the Black Belt region. Must be willing to travel. Valid U.S. driver's license required. Must be at least 21 years of age and have an acceptable motor vehicle report as determined by the insurance carrier.

Skills and Knowledge:

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-player skills. Basic computer keyboard and standard office application software skills (word processing, spreadsheet, and database).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in interacting productively with university faculty and community representatives; and experience employing organizational skills with small and large student groups. 56 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 29120.04 Midpoint - $ 40767.96
