Faculty members are expected to teach a minimum of 30 load hours per academic year, serve on department and college committees, advise students, engage in professional development activities and participate in community and business partnerships, research and grants. They should be prepared to use technology and learning outcomes assessment to enhance classroom teaching and show commitment to innovation, teaching excellence, and a teaching/learning focus. College teaching experience is preferred.
We invite faculty applications now for renewable, term-contract faculty appointments for fall 2016 beginning August 16, 2016, potentially leading to tenure-track positions. A willingness to teach at all AACC locations is required.

The School of Science and Technology is seeking full-time faculty to teach a minimum of 30 faculty load hours per academic year. Assignments will be divided between both lecture and lab with the majority of sections taught in general chemistry, but may include sections of other chemistry courses or general physical science as needed. The faculty member is responsible for curriculum and adjunct support for one or more departmental courses and must actively contribute to department efforts to improve student success in general chemistry  

Required Qualifications

-Master's degree or higher in Chemistry or a related field

-An ability to work collaboratively  

Preferred Qualifications

-General Chemistry teaching experience (at the college level)

-Experience with curriculum development designed to improve student success

-Experience with research based teaching strategies
