Faculty members are expected to teach a minimum of 30 load hours per academic year, serve on department and college committees, advise students, engage in professional development activities and participate in community and business partnerships, research and grants. They should be prepared to use technology and learning outcomes assessment to enhance classroom teaching and show commitment to innovation, teaching excellence, and a teaching/learning focus. College teaching experience is preferred.
We invite faculty applications now for renewable, term-contract faculty appointments for fall 2016 beginning August 16, 2016, potentially leading to tenure-track positions. A willingness to teach at all AACC locations is required.

The School of Business & Law is seeking a full-time faculty member to teach for the Entrepreneurial Studies Institute (ESI) and the Business Management department. Faculty are responsible for providing high quality instruction in all credit and non-credit programs. Instruction may be in a variety of formats, including but not limited to classroom, computer lab, tutorial center, business resource center (Hatchery), distance, on-line, and off campus. In addition to instructional responsibilities, the faculty member will have a major role in curriculum development, assessment strategies, outcomes measurement, engaged learning, special events, partnerships, publications, reporting, business & academic advising, and mentoring.  

Required Qualifications

-Master's degree in Business, Entrepreneurship, or a related field

-Business experience required; business ownership or executive leadership preferred  

Preferred Qualifications

-Three years of experience in teaching entrepreneurship or business; and or conducting professional development training courses

-Experience in assessment, curriculum development, and/or curriculum design

-Experience providing business counseling or advising to aspiring entrepreneurs

-Demonstrated experience in delivering instruction in non-traditional setting using various delivery modes

-Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Office, Social Media and the Internet

-Some administrative experience in a community college environment desirable

-Ability to work flexible hours and locations, including some weekends and evenings as required
