Duties & Responsibilities: Under direct supervision of the Director of Respiratory Therapy, primary responsibilities include teaching and coordinating the clinical education and training of students; developing, organizing, administering and evaluating the clinical aspects of the program; orienting, coaching, scheduling and supervising clinical instructors and preceptors; securing clinical sites or affiliates for the program; assisting in quality improvement, curriculum development and accreditation of the program; assisting the director of assigned tasks and projects; promoting a positive learning and working environment; and supporting the mission, vision and goals of San Juan College, the School of Health Sciences, and the program. Qualifications: Master’s degree in education or in a health-related major with a minimum of 3 years clinical experience, preferably with 2 years teaching and/or management experience is required. Applicants with a bachelor’s degree and 5 years of clinical work experience will also be considered. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), State-licensed Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) or eligible for NM license; preferably board-certified Neonatal/Pediatric Specialist (NPS), and BLS/ACLS instructor. Experience as a seminar speaker and organizer, and working with diverse groups highly desirable. The successful individual will have a thorough understanding of and commitment to the community college mission. Evidence of effective working relationships with local, state and federal agencies, other colleges and faculty and staff. Starting Salary:$60,000-$62,000
