Under administration direction, serves as a team lead performing strategic/integrated, operational, and tactical duties;; monitors various information system related projects, upgrades, and developments; integrates electronic health record software with practice management and coding systems; assists with development of system and interface requirements; provides advanced end user support.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree; supplemented with six (6) years of related work experience. Certification in associated Epic Applications is required

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Analyzes processes and related data to recommend automation improvements; leads and develops various application data translations, HL7 interfaces and/or Cache routines.

Supervises application/ interface analysts and/or technical staff; participates in planning, selection, and installation of process changes in electronic health record, practice management and coding systems; collaborates to establish data mapping plans and methods.

Provides advanced end-user support; responds to software application, interface and database issues; reviews issue logs to identify patterns; tracks performance of vendor in resolving issues within target dates; plans and implements installation upgrades and development projects.

Evaluates and recommends system and process improvements to electronic health record and practice management systems; serves as liaison between departments and software vendors for specific applications; implements approved change requests for specific applications; coordinates and maintains interface standards.

Performs other duties as assigned.
