This position will provide general support for the G/L and Budgetary accounting system, Position Control, Procurement, Human Resource and other financial systems. In depth knowledge of business requirements pertaining to one or more of the financial systems listed above. The position will make changes to batch and on-line programs in the supported systems and insure they run correctly, are properly maintained and coordinate any schedule changes with user offices and production control. This requires discretion and independent judgment in what changes are made to the system, how and when they are made and how they are prioritized. The position has the responsibility to identify technical modifications necessary to maintain the system in good working order or to satisfy new business requirements. On support issues, the incumbent has freedom to act under general direction, using adaptive reasoning, programming knowledge and technical expertise at the expert level to accomplish broadly defined tasks and system requirements.
Positions require a Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years professional experience. Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Experience with mainframe technologies such as IBM JCL, TSO, IBM z/OS, Endevor, Adabas, Natural.
Experience with enterprise job scheduling packages such as Control-M or CA-7.
Experience integrating disparate data sources on a Windows platform with SSIS or other development tool and proficiency in SQL.
Proficiency in Cobol or other procedural language.
Data, process, and business modeling techniques.
Project management, systems analysis, systems design, and programming methods and practice.
