Performs a broad scope of professional accounting activities requiring experienced, professional knowledge and application of accounting principles and practices.

Additional Department Summary:

Assists the Associate Director of Advancement Services, Gift Accounting in providing accounting support for the fundraising efforts of The University of Alabama. The position performs quality control procedures related to gift recording, receipting, and reporting practices, prepares and distributes fundraising reports, performs analysis of delinquent pledges, uses Banner Finance extensively to reconcile gift funds and complete journal entries. The position serves as a liaison with donors and University constituents regarding gifts and giving inquires and excellent communication skills are essential.

Required Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance and at least one (1) year accounting related experience; OR a CPA and some professional accounting experience.

Skills and Knowledge:

Microsoft Excel; Excellent interpersonal skills; Customer service background

Preferred Qualifications:

A CPA license is preferred. 57 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 32614.44 Midpoint - $ 47299.20
