FULL-TIME STAFF ASSISTANT TO THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SAFETY & TRANSPORTATION: (Administration and Finance Department) Haverhill Campus. 37.5 hours per week (Non-unit Professional Position). Anticipated Start Date: January, 2016
Provide administrative support while performing a wide range of duties to ensure the smooth day-to-day operations in the Office of Public Safety, including implementing procedures and controls for Shuttle Dispatch and monitoring administrative projects within the department. Act as a liaison to the Haverhill and Lawrence Fire & Police Departments, and formulate partnerships with internal and external clients.
Must have the ability to prioritize and track time-sensitive events and assignments to ensure timely completion. Coordinate, monitor and provide assistance with research/staff studies, programs, projects, grants and budgets. Ability to plan, set-up and organize meetings with inside and outside personnel and participate in meetings, conferences, seminars, and other events to provide and/or receive information relevant to work assignments. Prepare Power Point presentations. Train personnel in various subjects related to assigned area's operations such as computer software/hardware/, policies and procedures. Create, update and maintain confidential files/information ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Working understanding of the Clery Law which includes conducting required training of all Public Safety Officers under the Campus Security Authorities requirement. Collect Crime Statistics on an on-going basis as required for Clery Geography. Review incident reports and assign proper Clery Crime Category on a daily basis.
Salary: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 with complete fringe benefit package; Actual salary will commensurate with academic background and experience.
