FULL-TIME SPECIAL PROGRAMS COORDINATOR (PATIENT SIMULATION CENTER COORDINATOR): 10 Month Position (August through May each year). (Division of Health Professions Lawrence Campus) (MCCC Professional Unit Staff Position) Anticipated Start Date: January 11, 2016
This position will have overall organizational responsibility for the Patient Simulation Center at Northern Essex Community College. In collaboration with division faculty members, this staff position will develop, organize and implement educational curriculum for students, professional development for faculty and community health care professionals. The coordinator will have responsibility for equipment use and maintenance in top working order, observing all warrantees and recommendations for upgrades and preventive maintenance. The coordinator will administer Learning Space management system related to patient simulation program and train faculty and staff in its use. The individual in this position will participate in divisional and college committees and related activities.
A Bachelor's Degree in a health profession required. Must have experience in patient simulation technology and information technology. Proven success in program organization, promotion, collaboration and evidence of excellent written and verbal communication required. The individual chosen for this position must possess demonstrated ability to work collegially as a leader and team member; possess effective teaching and learning skills; effectively relate to and contribute positively to a diverse, multi-ethnic, multi-cultural population and campus environment; exhibit knowledge of curriculum development, implementation and assessment, including evidence of competence in evaluating instructional methods and techniques appropriate to different learning styles. The successful candidate will have a proven history of establishing effective relationships with community partners.
Master's degree in a health profession preferred.
Salary: $39,464.00 - 47,310.00 for ten (10) months each year with complete fringe benefit package. Actual salary calculated in compliance with MCCC/MTA classification system; Pay grade 4
