The Associate Director for the Quality Enhancement Plan is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the University's QEP, Learning in Action: Developing Real-World Problem Solvers Through High Quality Experiential Learning Opportunities efforts.

The Associate Director for the Quality Enhancement Plan is responsible for overseeing the implementation of the University's QEP, Learning in Action: Developing Real-World Problem Solvers Through High Quality Experiential Learning Opportunities. The five-year plan raises the bar on existing experiential opportunities and encourages the creation of new experiential learning opportunities across the campus of Alabama's flagship institution. This position is a member of the Office of Institutional Effectiveness team, which leads institutional quality improvement efforts. The QEP is an institutional initiative to improve student learning.
Required Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree and a minimum of five (5) years of related experience.
Additional Required Department Minimum Qualifications:
Experience in classroom teaching and assessment of student learning in higher education. Knowledge of teaching and learning theory and best practices, and qualitative and quantitative research, and a record of working with faculty to promote good teaching and assessment practices.
Skills and Knowledge:
Must be able to communicate effectively to a variety of constituents in both oral and written formats. Must have the organizational skills to manage the many parts of a campus-wide project. Must have the ability to conduct assessment of student learning, including data collection, analysis and reporting. Must have the ability to develop and implement formal presentations, webinars, and workshops. Must be able to write and deliver timely annual reports, marketing materials, SACSCOC reports, etc. Must be able to use Microsoft Office applications, statistical analysis software, e.g. SPSS, SAS, and/or NVivo, and software to manage assessment, projects, and processes related to the QEP and OIE. Must be able to work with faculty and academic leadership. Must be able to effectively lead meetings and collaborate with QEP committee members. Must be able to identify and disseminate best practices in experiential learning as well as to work with faculty on curriculum development and integration of experiential learning practices into classroom pedagogy. Must be able to organize and balance multiple project-related activities. Must be able to lead the University in initiatives to improve student learning.
A doctorate or terminal degree and administrative and/or project management experience. Experience as QEP director. Expertise and experience with experiential learning in the higher education classroom. Experience with SACSCOC accreditation process. 60 Monthly (exempt): - Minimum - $ 50918.40 Midpoint - $ 73839.96
